The legendary Mazatlán International Marathon stands proud as one of the top 50 most spectacular marathon courses globally, seamlessly pairing competitive road racing along one of the longest oceanfront malecón promenades in the world with an incredible festive atmosphere.
The highly anticipated milestone XXV (25th Anniversary) Gran Maratón Chevron/Hersa Mazatlán 2026 is officially scheduled to take place over the weekend of December 4th to December 6, 2026. This premier running festival calls together professional world athletes, running clubs, and passionate amateurs to compete right alongside the scenic breaking waves of the Pacific Ocean.

Expo Deportiva & Kit Pickup: Open from 9:50 AM to 8:00 PM inside the main parking lot structure at the Teodoro Mariscal Stadium. Bring a valid copy of your official ID and signed waiver sheet to secure your race packets.

Expo Deportiva (Last Call Pickup): Open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the stadium parking zone.
5K & 10K Main Start Gun: Race kicks off precisely at 5:00 PM along Avenida Leonismo Internacional. Elite divisions launch first, followed shortly by standard groups.
Pasta Party & Special Events: Evening carb-loading dinners run from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM alongside a mascot race (Carrera de botargas) at 7:30 PM and a magnificent light show at 9:00 PM inside the stadium.

21K & 42K Main Marathon Day: All categories meet at the official starting line on Avenida Leonismo Internacional (situated directly in front of the Teodoro Mariscal Stadium).
• 6:00 AM Start: Wheelchairs, crutches, blind, and mobility impaired divisions (21K).
• 6:05 AM Start: Full 42K Marathon competitive division.
• 6:20 AM Start: Standard 21K Half Marathon wave.
Registration & Lodging Logistics
Race Entry Passports: Distances are certified directly by World Athletics and the FMAA. Athletes can easily secure active registration slots online through the official portal at Emoción Deportiva , or purchase passes in person at the Teodoro Mariscal Stadium ticket offices. Registration tiers dynamically scale up in cost closer to race day.
Host Hotel Reservations: Because the marathon track closes large traffic arteries and draws tens of thousands of international visitors, local coastal rooms book out months in advance. We highly advise booking rooms near the Malecon or central tourist corridors early to avoid race day logistical delays.
