The Pedro Infante Birthplace Museum

This unique attraction operates as a proud, family-run museum. The local family who originally purchased the historic residential house did so without knowing that Pedro Infante had been born inside the rooms. Upon uncovering the historical significance of the site, and with the formal blessing of Pedro Infante's surviving relatives, they established this museum within the front rooms of their estate. A wealth of personal memorabilia items was donated directly by the Infante family to complete the collection.

Pedro Infante was born in the port of Mazatlán on November 18, 1917, directly inside the rooms that compromise this memorial museum today.

Throughout his youth, he lived across northern Sinaloa where he trained in practical trades, working in carpentry, barbering, baking, shoe shining, and musical performance alongside his father, even spending time flying agricultural crop-dusters.

He initiated his professional singing career at the young age of 17, assembling a local orchestra affectionately named "La Rabia" out of pressing economic necessity to support his family.

Over an incredibly prolific 14-year professional career, he recorded a monumental 64 feature films and 458 musical tracks, defining the artistic peak of his generation.

His life cut short tragically when he died in a aviation crash at only 39 years of age. His national funeral was attended by over 100,000 mourning fans, marking a period of deep national mourning and signaling the historical close of the golden age of Mexican cinema.
