Estadio El Encanto (Mazatlán Soccer Stadium)
The Estadio El Encanto (originally inaugurated in 2020 as Estadio de Mazatlán) serves as the crown jewel of professional soccer architecture in the state of Sinaloa.
The stadium features a dramatic structural design that looks like a geometric sea monster breaking out of the coastal soil, earning it the world-famous, enduring local nickname "The Kraken". While originally constructed to host the Liga MX franchise Mazatlán FC, major corporate shifts saw the franchise sold and relocated to Mexico City. To preserve professional soccer at the port, the iconic Dorados de Sinaloa of the Liga de Expansión MX officially stepped in, establishing El Encanto as their brand new home stadium.
In late 2023, the stadium entered a long-term naming rights partnership with regional developer Encanto Desarrollos, officially changing its designation to Estadio El Encanto. It remains the largest, most technologically advanced soccer venue in the region.
Where is the Stadium Located?
The stadium is positioned within the inland residential Pradera neighborhood (specifically Fraccionamiento Pradera Dorada). This urban zone sits quite a significant distance inland from the resort beaches and the main tourist paths of the Golden Zone.
What is the Crowd Capacity?
Estadio El Encanto possesses a maximum design framework to fit 25,000 spectators. For official league matchups requiring specialized tournament security cordons, the verified ticketing capacity is capped at 20,195 seats (including 1,160 luxury box suites).
Official Property Address
The official navigational coordinates map to the following regional location:
Avenida Múnich, Fraccionamiento Pradera Dorada, 82154 Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico.
How to Reach the Stadium
From the central Malecón boardwalk, travel inland along Avenida de los Deportes. Follow the natural curve onto Calle Río Grijalva for roughly 12 blocks, then initiate a left turn onto Avenida Múnich. Continue down Múnich until the master stadium towers come into view on your left side. Because of the notable distance from the coastal hotels, we strongly encourage hiring an Uber or localized eco-taxi rather than walking.
Gated Parking Logistics
The sports complex features expansive, dedicated paved parking fields surrounding the stadium quadrants. General admission match-day parking parameters typically run between $100 MXN and $200 MXN pesos, depending on the tournament tier. Private independent neighborhood parking slots are also operated by local resident marshals along the outer parameters of Avenida Múnich.
